Today I had the pleasure of talking to all of the classes at a local primary school about what it’s like to be an author. I discussed the various stages of publishing a book, the illustration process and the weeks of proof reading! I absolutely loved every minute of it and was amazed at how interested the children were. They asked some pretty great questions and my talk ended up being a Q&A session. I really wanted to convey the message that reading is so much more fun that watching TV and playing devices and I hope that my visit to the school has got them all wanting to pick up a book and enjoy reading.

I’m visiting another school next week and I can’t wait!
